From a country that has not made any significant headway in the area of pursuing global warming commitment, finally the Philippines has officially introduced a solar powered car. After being delayed for some time due to the rains, the first solar-powered car will finally be introduced to the public.

The solar-powered vehicle was a product of a group of engineering students from the De La Salle University. The said car will be competing in the 3,000 kilometers 20th World Solar Challenge which will be held in Australia in October.

  • It's nice to fantasize a world were these cars can someway drive on the LA highways!
  • I hope to see them on the Philippines roads though. Considering I am thinking how they can exist with the endless traffic problems and rocky roads hehehe
