An Eco-Friendly Fancy Flush!

by erin on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

This toilet may cost you an arm and a leg, but it’s still a pretty interesting gadget!

It has a zillion-and-one features to make using the bathroom a high-tech, comfortable and very green experience, including

  • sensor-activated lid opens when you approach
  • lid closes and flushes when you depart
  • comes with optional wireless, remote operated, programmable seat heater
  • sleek, tank-ess, one-piece toilet with integrated Washlet seat
  • Cyclone Flushing system — no waiting for refill, no refill noise
  • skirted styling with concealed trap-way for easy cleaning
  • Integrated Washlet features front and rear warm water washing, automatic air dryer and deodorizer
  • an ion barrier glazing system cleans your toilet bowl with every flush
  • tankless – low profile, elongated one-piece toilet
  • low consumption (6 Lpf/1.6 Gpf)
  • sanaGloss glazing

If you’ve got $5,000 dollars lying around and don’t want to go the compost-toilet OR the bricks-in-the-bowl(both of these are tried-and-true eco-friendly options!) route, check it out here.

Actually this looks like the complete opposite of an eco-friendly toilet if it requires any amount of electricity to make its little features work. A toilet's main function is to dispose of human waste, and the main issue is the amount of water used to do the flushing. Extras are not only ridiculous, they are a waste of our already-limited energy resources. This is an embarrassing post, keetsa. You should be ashamed.
