As charging stations continue to come out, a new supercharger for the Tesla Model S has reportedly been opened over in Switzerland. The supercharger will be situated between Zurich and Geneva, a breakthrough which will reportedly kick off Tesla’s plans of adding more charging stations for Tesla owners who will surely applaud this development.
Additional superchargers are said to be in the works with Germany and Australia lined up as next locations where they would be put up.
Tesla says that by the end of 2014 100% of the population of the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Denmark will live within 320km of a Supercharger location.
They by next year, 90% of the population of England, Wales, and Sweden will live within 320km of a Supercharger.
For the record, a Supercharger can charge a battery to about half capacity in 30 minutes and will have the potential to charge the batteries in only 5 minutes in the future.
