Tap or Bottled, what’s best?

by David Allen on Thursday, June 26th, 2008

This has been a question which has been hanging around for years now, could you tell the difference between a $10 bottle of precious Fiji mountain water and a nice ice cold glass of tap water? Well for around eighty four per cent of the UK public this was an impossible challenge as they could not tell the expensive bottled water to that which came out of the tap!

With three billion empty bottles heading for the land fill every year in the UK alone, isn’t it time that something was done about it? Well now you can with “We Want Tap” the scheme allows you to keep your fancy bottle, but by replacing the label and filling it with tap water you are showing that you care about this waste of water, fuel and other resources.

This is an excellent idea. Similar to the UK, consumers in the U.S. also need to understand that tap water is just as clean as high-priced bottled water (if not cleaner).

    Thank you for posting this!
