What a great way to promote sustainable products, these are made from cork which is a totally sustainable product that comes from a tree. But unlike the cork that pops out of a wine bottle these are an entirely different thing altogether in fact unless you take a real close look at these items it is pretty hard to tell that is in fact cork and not some precious stone or something.

This belt using some of the wiring that comes out of electrical machinery, which when you think of it does actually resemble a belt. In fact I cannot understand why nobody has thought of this before. Or maybe they did!

Recycling old pieces of metal etc is nothing new. But when they are put together and turned into something else entirely which is useful and stylish too.

Once again we find art and glass being used in the same piece, it is becoming a bit if trend that hopefully will continue.
These pieces are being produced by John Bassett who has been working on this sort of thing since way back in 1979 which is when the eco friendly movement was in its early stages. The image does not actually doe the items credit because as with any piece of the art there needs to be light.

Sounds like these are not going to be that brilliant but in actual fact these lanterns are really great to look at and will look very special not matter where they are placed. From a distance it is hard to make out that they are made from old aerosol and soda cans, because the colours just look like a normal pattern.
The light is produced by a standard tea light so no power what so ever is required.

These pendants are made from recycled bottle tops, comes with an eighteen inch ball chain. Each one is handmade, and because of this each one is going to be slightly different than the next.
The great thing about the chain is the fact that if the chain is too long it can be cut down to size y cutting it with a pair of ordinary scissors.

You initially think that these have been knitted, yet these have been knitted by a co-operative of women in east Africa, rural Kenya in fact. Yet this is a non profit organisation, which is strange as you would think that they would be in it for the money, but clearly there is more to just making money in Africa.

This is ultimate in recycling as these aircraft parts are really cool and look even better.

This is great thing created by the kids from Vista Arts Centre of Richmond, it shows that kids can see how serious the plastic containers that we all throw away can be, and the damage that they can do to the environment.

Just when we thought that all the tyre uses have actually been used up, along come a really creative mind to come up with another stunning idea.
This sculpture has been made from used tyres, and yet by looking at the image you could hardly tell, which is what eco art is all about really, creating something nice from something that is potentially harmful, absolutely great!
