Mass Transit to Ease Oil Price in the Philippines

In a country where traffic has always been a problem, the good thing about the continued increase of oil in the Philippines is perhaps private and public vehicles which used to throng the streets would rather stay at home or walk. Now that resolves one issue but poses another big problem for people who have to get to places such as the office. Mass transit has been the alternative the Filipinos use and apparently the issue at hand now is on acc , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ... More

Making Palm Oils Sustainable

Palm oil mostly originating from Asia has had its share of controversies connected with the whole eco-friendliness issue today. Apparently, people today look more towards the havoc that it has done rather than what it can do to help make the environment greener. Palm oil has been blamed for deforestation and for driving species such as the orangutan to the verge of extinction. But if you look a little bit closer, you will find that certain prod , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ... More

China Snow Storms Not Caused by Climate Change

Sorry to ruin the conclusions if you are in China but apparently the snow storms that you have been encountering are not caused by the climate change phenomena. Well at least this is what Reuters reported in their article is concerned. While the snow storms have caused problems for China, it all boils down to something else. It is just a freak event of nature that is bound to hit any country at any time like Milenyo which hit the Philippines 2 , , , , , , , , , ... More

Japan has all of the ideas

There are so many designers from Japan who are coming up with some terrific new and exciting ideas which although are eco friendly have not much in potential, I am not sure about this one. It seems Japan has all of the intention but not much of the putting it into practice sort of idea. The office that is made out of totally recycled materials is just another example, while the concept is fine, but actually putting it into practice is just ano , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ... More

GAP in trouble over child labour

Investigations into the awful child labour conditions in India have thrown up GAP as one the companies that are using these companies who exploit young workers who can be as young as ten. Plants not thirsty means flood risks

Global warming may be coming back with a vengeance, as it appears that because plants do not drink so much water, means that the rain water and other sources such as under ground water stores will not be depleted as fast. In the long term the effect of this could be very serious indeed, because if this continues the water levels will build until there is nowhere else for the water to go, this could mean more and more floods. A new slant on being green

Clearly China is a different culture and yes they are trying hard, maybe even too hard to gain international recognition for business and for the country itself, yet sometimes there is the occasional slip up where they roll back to the old days. The mountain range in Laoshou is no different because officials believed that the mountainside looked so ugly after quarrying that in order to make the area green they would just paint it.
