Plastic Grass Could Replace Plastic

There is no doubt that plastic has been getting some bad press recently, in fact it probably goes back around ten or twelve years when plastic was first named as an eco badguy. It’s been deemed an eco badguy with good reason, too. After all, plastic hangs around the planet for hundreds of years after initial use, and sadly, the plastic pile just keeps growing. 3 Fortunately, a company called Metabolix, based in Massachusetts, has come up wi , , , , , , , , , , , , , ... More

Projected Oil Prices in 2008

Apparently, oil has become increasingly expensive and based on expert predictions, the current trends we experience today are only the tip of the iceberg. By 2008, we can expect them to rise all the more and perhaps see the last quarter as the only relieving site to which everything will stabilize. Biofuel No Longer Looking Financially Attractive

We are all aware that the rising cost of crude oil in the market is nearing the $100 mark. Ideally, we would all say that this would not matter since alternative fuel sources are here to save the day. Apparently that was what we thought. While we are all focused on the alternative fuel towards ever increasing oil prices in the world today, we have forgotten to take note that even the raw materials needed to produce biofuels have also been affec , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ... More

Brazil and the Philippines to Develop Biofuels

The turn towards the use of biofuels by most of the world today has been something evident and with Brazil agreeing to work in hand with the Filipino government, amassing a larger part of green fuel efficiency may yet be another significant achievement in the world’s drive for lesser greenhouse gases and more alternative green fuels to adhere to the transportation needs. Biofuels Answer Fuel Issues, What about Food?

Biofuels have been pretty much praised for their advent since it has provided people to drive their cars using plants and other natural resources to produce them in lieu of oil and standard gasoline. While this phenomenon has indeed addressed the fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas issue, look a little bit further. Food and crops are still essential towards providing the basic necessities as illustrated by Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
