This is the type of computer that every eco friendly person is going to want, it is sort of a cross between the style of the 1960’s and the technology of the today. Making it sort of eco tech in nature, but for this sort equipment you are going to have to pay the price, at the moment these computers start at around $1,500.

I just ran into the most fabulous green site, it completely simplifies the process of upgrading the memory on your PC. I recently purchased a used Dell laptop, and according to this site, the salesmen lied to me.
According to Crucial.com, the max memory for my DELL Latitude C600 is 512 MB. The salesmen told me i could upgrade it to a max of 1,000 MB. Shame on you, Mr. Salesmen.
What i like best about this site, is that you enter in your desktop

Whether you run a restaurant or a dry cleaner, there are things you can do to lower your carbon footprint. It all starts by taking an assessment of your enterprise and looking around at your various departments. You can do a complete overhaul, or you can start small and build from there.
Educate yourself on green issues and research possible solutions and providers. When you go green it imparts a message of sustainability that will grab the inter

It seems the UK have a surplus of serviceable yet out dated computers and despite the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, which should see most electrical items disposed of using the manufacturers own disposal facilities, it is estimated that some twelve and half million older laptops and PC’s have not been recycled or reused.
What’s worse is what is actually happening to these old machines. Twenty five per cent are

What on earth do you do with all of those old computer keyboards which end up lying around the office, often with one or two keys missing? Well there are a couple things that can be done, like throwing them away or making something out of them.
In this case the designer Choi Jung Hyun has put the keys to good use by creating something worthwhile. This viper has computer keys instead of the normal scaly skin that you would expect to see on a sna

These laptop bags are really nice and stylish; they are just the right size for most laptops with room to spare for any other little extras like cables and other work related items. Plastic bags are huge problem virtually everywhere in the world in particular India where these are made.
They are handmade by a cooperative of women and are sold as a fair trade product which helps everyone get good cut out of the proceeds making it fair all round

There are many people who have been waiting for something like this to come along, the solar powered laptop, the panels charge up the battery and the computer is good to go.
The solar panel could be removed from the laptop and the battery can then be charged up by the main electric power, this is great for people who work outside a lot, because two to three hours of battery is not much use for anyone.

Most towns have local PC repair guys, especially useful are the independent guys. If you happen to have one nearby, look to him or her, next time you are looking to dispose of your used laptop, desktop, monitor, printer, etc.
Chances are if the electronic is still operational, your local PC shop, can turn around and either resell this item or donate it to a local school or organization. I would start with a phone call and see what options mate

Getting computers to run on solar power is very difficult, this is because the actual solar panels are big, bulky and heavy, or that was how it used to be.
Now solar panels are slimmer, lighter and more powerful, which means that they can be used for all sorts of things other than powering calculators. This set up has done just that, by utilising a solar panel to power up a multi computer set up. One day all offices will be like this!

Now there is no arguing that this Mac book is green and in fact ultra eco friendly, or is it?
This is what a green Mac book would look like if the powers that be actually got their collective thinking caps on and went all out to produce something that could save the earth instead of just costing the earth instead.

Should you want to be a bit more eco friendly than normal, then you may wish to consider the eco button, this device is plugged into the USB port, then by pushing the green button your computer will go into eco mode.
By going into eco this will save more energy than when the computer is in sleep mode, which is probably the same as when the monitor and computer are shut down. This is a good idea if you need to be off of the computer for a while.

Everyone knows that with every computer comes a mouse, this device has become so essential now that it is impossible to understand what modern day computing would be like without it.
So if there is a mouse, then why is there not a cat? Well there is now, this is the recycled computer monitor cat bed, and as you see he really loves his new home and why not, the inside is fully cushioned and very comfortable.

Computers are one of the worst energy wasters. We don’t turn them off when we should, we have too many programs running and we (if you’re like me!) are on them all day long. And yet, there hasn’t been a lot of effort to make computers a greener product.
However, CRAVE has written a really informative article about how you can make your PC a big greener, how to recycle it properly and how to go greener when you upgrade. They tak

By now anyone with even the slightest green ear knows that Greenpeace has it out for Apple. And to some extent it has been working. Apple has made public declarations in the past few months to become a more eco-conscious business.
However, a new report by EPA (the Environmental Protection Agency) suggests that, while Apple is not as green at it could be, it is not the baddest bad guy out there.
EPA’s report says “Apple has the most
