In order to boost its eco friendly image, power provider British Gas is to fund a new children’s television programme imaginatively named “Green Up Your Life” which is going to be a series of ten five minute long shows.
Children will be given a challenge, which is directly related to the environment, these may include recycling, or water conservation. At the end of the series, the child who comes out on top will be crowned the “Eco Range

We all live in various regions of the world today and in some places, the need to conserve water is important. While most nations boast of having adequate water supply, there is also the matter of water bills to consider.
Dripping water from a leaky faucet or perhaps unaware of water pipe problems can really become a pain in the end. Remember that your water meter is running and it would be best to have professional plumbers check them out once

One other consideration that people place when they go eco-friendly and green is to retain the level of ambiance that their homes carry. Such is the concept that the Gravia Lamp aims to achieve outside the usual green standards that this new lighting that is cordless provides to people who consider them among their furnishings.
If there is one thing that should be noted, it should be the drive for people to conserve energy consumption and use l

Most towns have local PC repair guys, especially useful are the independent guys. If you happen to have one nearby, look to him or her, next time you are looking to dispose of your used laptop, desktop, monitor, printer, etc.
Chances are if the electronic is still operational, your local PC shop, can turn around and either resell this item or donate it to a local school or organization. I would start with a phone call and see what options mate

In Russia and China it seems a new fur market has opened up, and because of this, seal hunting has again resurfaced. Jeez!
via - ecorazzi
How abominable a practice is seal hunting? Essentially it is a call for blood, a war on seals, a bounty on every seals head. We dont need to support this pratice, we need to be the voice of these poor creatures who are slaughtered by those who only see green (and not eco green) but money. Don’t buy fur

Reclaimed items are hot right now in many showrooms, be it for clothing, electronics, or furniture. Groovy Stuff.com specializes in reclaimed teakwood pieces.
Their recycled teakwood comes from antique farm implements, yokes, plows, sugarcane grinders, and wagons from the old days. The wood is beautiful and rich in grain. I found this beautiful pair of reclaimed teakwood stump seats on their site.
Their is a catch though, they only sell to

Well, here is a neat idea i found over at Crafty Bits, a Styro Foam Tray recycled project that involves turning these horrid trays into something pretty and something useful. The project is quite simple, can be done quickly, and is a great kid-frie

Its amazing really that we leave the electrical items plugged in and on standby, never worry about it, but there is some cost as these device still draw on power even when they are turned off, although it is not as serious as the fire hazard that plugged in electrical items are.
By the way, every year in the US consumers spend around $5 billion powering up items that they are
