Over at Earth First, they have a neat column in which they feature a series of green colleges. This week they feature College of the Atlantic, in Maine.

Considering that the school is dedicated to ecology, it’s no surprise that it’s often called ‘the greenest of them all’. All 325(!) students are personally committed to making the college as green as possible, and not just by planting lots of trees. They activel

Whenever we say that we have to go and turn to eco-friendly living, we normally put into our minds that we should consider eco-friendly practices such as buying green and efficient products offered in the market today. A part of this is true. However, it also has to be emphasized in the eco-friendly decision-making we do today that we should also try to refrain from buying goods or products that do not really serve a purpose for us other than sa

Other than Keetsa, there are a lot of websites and blogs that cater towards pushing for the overall education of global warming and climate change issues we hear of today. A lot of them provide latest news and information on what to avoid and what to do when it comes towards green living and it would be best to check them out.
Of course we all know of treehugger as one of the leading resources of green living and tips. There are other good site

The thing about going green is you have to find various ways to be able to promote the ecology issue the world has to deal with today. The United Kingdom has acknowledged such a need and has moved forward by introducing its first eco-friendly school.
With this it is apparent that the UK is dead-set in starting to educate young minds on the pros and cons of eco-friendly living.
FIRST Minister Alex Salmond today opened a new “eco-school

Ecology is something that we all know through education and from current events. Taken as a whole, we only know of certain components such as global warming, greenhouse gases, pollution and climate change. The world is having a hard time focusing on only one of these areas.
Add to this that such concentration has not done any good. Progress has been slow and if this keeps up, another bomb similar to that atomic bomb that destroyed Japan some ce

For most people and countries to participate in the eco-drive efforts the world is uniformly trying to get over, the best way to go about it is to follow the leaders. Such has been a good sign as seen by environmentalists when Scottish businessmen themselves have taken the initiative in making green and climate change awareness as needed today in their homelands.

Students have their share of being able to contribute towards an eco-friendly environment by making use of eco-friendly school supplies and stuff. Ranging from pens to bags, children can be taught early if parents will only allow it.
Surely, with all the rants and raves for an ecology aware world today, this is something that may start helping in the various solicitations of going green. All it needs is putting them into action.

It is easy to declare that anyone knows what it takes to follow a green way of living. However, it also follows that not all people fully understand what green living provides as well as enumerating what factors contribute to overall green living.
Most of the time, we would catch people referring to the web, newspapers and magazine to share their thoughts on what it means to go green. For sure they will get a lot of returned results but overall

In my resident state of Mississippi, the fifth and largest biodiesel plant is set to open soon. At full capacity the Scott Petroleum Biodiesel Plant will produce 20 million gallons of B100 a year, making it the largest in the Magnolia state.
This biodiesel will be a blend of soybean oil and animal fat mixed with traditional petroleum diesel.
With the growing biodiesel industry the demand for soybean crops is skyrocketed, which is creating a boon

Among the notable calamities we see today are that of forest fires which have been headlining the news. A lot of them have originated from regions such as California and Algeria. One has to wonder what ignited all of these. Was it man or nature?
For one thing, the heat wave and the drought of rains to date have become something contributory to the whole situation. The heat may be too hot to handle and some sectors are wondering how to be able to

The case of going eco-friendly does not stop when we breathe our last gasp of air. Some people have inputted in their minds that once they cease to live in this world, their duty as green serving citizens will come to a halt.
While this may be true, there is a known belief among us to leave with a memorable bang. And this includes using eco-friendly coffins to lay our bodies once the time comes for us to go. Gross but a good way to say goodbye t

The Natural Death Centre in London, shows that 89% of coffins used every year, are made from chipbaord covered with laminate, which can take many years to biodegrade. Living a green and eco friendly life means examining the various areas in our lives that could be more earth friendly and more sustainable. But what happens when we pass on, how do we carry our values with us, till the very end?

Leading by example and showing the people how it is to live green is something that can be done in lieu of the normal ecology subjects that are purely based on theories.
Witnessing the real deal in eco-friendly efforts is the thing of the future and for groups and places like the Headland Institute, showing them how it is to live green and educate them on why green has been on the uprising will surely produce more minds for better understanding
