For fans of the races such as the F1 or Grand Prix, chances are you may be wondering how they can burn those fuel and tires and not be concerned with trying to do their part for the green efforts. Apparently, Japan has taken the initiative by campaigning a green tire campaign, starting with green grooved tires at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Pollution and alternative energy are likewise in focus and for the car racing lovers, the need to identify th

There are several different holidays coming up over the next few months and it is traditional to send our friends and family a greeting card. Unfortunately, these are not always eco friendly and that could be a big disappointment.
However, thanks to babymomento who are based in the US and Japan, they will produce eco friendly cards, this is all done online you could even add photos too, just to make it that little bit more personal.

A place like Times Square in New York is something that you either love or hate, the scene that has been filmed so many times simply cannot go noticed, however all of the neon lighting must have an effect on the environment.
Maybe that is why the electronic printing company Ricoh from Japan has plans for a totally eco friendly billboard which will be powered by solar and wind power. The sign which measures around 47’ x 126’ will use forty fi

Apparently all that is needed is a drop of water and off you go, you just cannot get any cleaner than that, or can you?

There are so many designers from Japan who are coming up with some terrific new and exciting ideas which although are eco friendly have not much in potential, I am not sure about this one.
It seems Japan has all of the intention but not much of the putting it into practice sort of idea. The office that is made out of totally recycled materials is just another example, while the concept is fine, but actually putting it into practice is just ano

Whaling in Japan as a means of research is being challenged by several activist organizations, as they state that it is not necessary to kill the whales in order to research them. With the new satellite tagging technology in place, research can be done without the hunt.
Watch the video below created by Australian Environment Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, aimed at Japanese girls to understand what whaling is and how it hurts the future of whales.

Plastic has been known to be a problem in the world of storing health drinks such as green tea. While many have become wary of the effects of the said storage of green tea in bottles today, Japan has shifted towards another way of providing the said green tea drink; placing them in thermos and teapots whenever people visit their local restaurants.
Freshness of the green tea leaves has always been an issue and with this development, people are su

Japan is suffering from severe smog caused mainly by the gases fro vehicle exhaust pipes, and there have been smog warnings being given out all over the country. Although there has been no direct accusation of the cause of this awful smog, there are experts who are not so worried about where they are pointing the finger, and it is squarely at China.
It would appear that China is not only being blamed for the smog, but also for many other environ

Japan is making plans to introduce hybrid trains into their transportation systems.
Today they are introducing a two-car diesel-electric hybrid train. It has a diesel engine, two electric motors underneath each car and lithium ion batteries on the roof. The train runs on its batteries until it encounters a hill or the batteries begin to run out and then the diesel engine kicks in.
The biggest problem with this plan is the cost. While this train

Whales may be large animals that some people rarely get to see outside the movies. But in reality, the people who see them do not even care about their existence. In fact, people just hunt them down and kill them one by one. A leading nation known for killing whales is Japan.
