Green Apparel Retailer, NAU, Going Out Of Business!

This comes as a shock to me, as green is pretty super hot, right now. Not to mention the green apparel at Nau was sleek, sexy, and very chic.

Thanks go to green blogger Victoria E, for this green news tip. The information of the closing is posted on Nau’s website and blog, essentially Nau states the reason for closure, is that they were not able to secure additional funding. In this climate of green popularity i find this hard to swallow, but i suppose it is possible.

Bid a sad farewell to green apparel retailer Nau, here is hoping that they come back reincarnated as something else. Maybe bigger, better, and greener.

Bye Nau!

Western Influenced Organic Fiber Shirt

From eco-friendly retailer Nau, comes this top for the ladies that is heavily western influenced. Almost cowgirl like but modern and hipper. I especially like the burgundy/ wine color.

Appropriately called The Giddy Up Shirt, it comes with short sleeves, so is still good for summer wear and is made from 100% Organic Cotton.

Nau, based in Oregon, has great sustainable-fabric tops and bottoms for both men and women. Alot of their pieces aim for the sporty look, and they do it with flair.

Visit Nau to see more of their organic cotton collection.

Lifestyle and Eco-Apparel Retailer, NAU.

nau-eco-clothing.jpg

The powers that be at, NAU, have created a line of sustainable sleek apparel to rival big honchos like, Patagonia and Nike. This socially responsible retailer based in Portland, Oregon is committed to changing the world by developing, using, and promoting a line of bio-fabric based clothing.

NAU, bases their design philosophy on the three markers:

  • beauty
  • performance
  • sustainability

Their pieces are really fluid and beautiful, a bit on the pricey side, but they have great green style. Very innovative with their line of clothing. tip: look in their sale item section for some hot buys.

They have a few flagship stores in the U.S. and or one can visit their eco boutique, for the latest styles and to read-up on more of their earth-friendly efforts.
