Ok. I’m all for the environment. I don’t buy leather shoes anymore and I really adore the green Simple brand of footwear. But, once in awhile, style trumps eco friendly. See below.
The green shoes above are made using sustainable wool and recycled fasteners. But as you can see they are not all appealing. Sorry Patagonia, but you dropped the ball big time here.

This is a really great bag that is made from recycled soda bottles and has enough solar power to charge up a lap top, which is totally cool by anyone’s standards. However, there is one slight feature that a lot of people are not going to be too happy with; it will cost you around $600!

After reading the article at The Daily Green entitled 10 Helpful Ways To Recycle Used Books, i found Book Crossing.
This is a really neat concept, basically the premise is you release your used books into the wild, and the books are tracked through a series of codes you put in it. Then others who find it, will share on the find via the BC website.

Well if you’re green living expert Danny SEO, you’re going to take those old used cd’s and turn them into a….dumbell.
Very crafty work here and the dumbell is fully functional, Danny explains he uses the 10 pound dumbell to do crunches.
