A music festival is one of those things where it is hard to think of it as being eco friendly, after all, there are huge demands on local resources such as water and there is always the waste too. This has been a question which has been hanging around for years now, could you tell the difference between a $10 bottle of precious Fiji mountain water and a nice ice cold glass of tap water? With gas becoming one of the scarcest resources that we really need today, the shortage and crisis is really something we cannot do much about. If you live in a small town like me, then you already know it can be quite difficult to recycle. The resources for mass use are simply not in place. In my small town the closest recycler is almost 50 miles away. Yikes!
(the bins above NOT available in most small towns)
I believe this distance pretty much cancels out the environmental benefits of recycling. If one has to drive 45 minutes (or worse) to recycle doesn’t this invalidate the eff
