Stumbled upon a neat blog by a fellow veghead, this one is named SwankyVeg. Gotta love that name.
The blog is run by an Ali Berman, who from her About page, was at one time a big time model. She started the site to showcase shoes, accessories, and other veg goodies for vegetarians. Forget regular mince, quorn mince is the nutritional alternative version for vegans and vegetarians. Higher in fibre and lower in fat, this is the perfect alternative to add to meals for making cottage pies, or vegetarian lasagnas.
Quorn mince is made from mushroom protein and comes frozen in a 300g bag. What about the nutritional content of Quorn mince?
Protein - 23 grams
Fat - 15 grams
Fibre - 0

As from the 1st October 2007 some chocolate and ice cream products are no longer going to be suitable for vegetarians, was that a sigh that I just heard there!
