We are all aware that the crackdown on the welfare of the wildlife is quite a sensitive issue. Looking out for the animals who may eventually face extinction if their race is not properly safeguarded, is still something we all have to really consider.

As far as who really has proper jurisdiction over them, it all really boils on the intent and purpose of placing the wildlife into perspective. This covers all animals we know of today. Some of them are slowly disappearing while others are plainly lost somewhere perhaps hiding from being caught or hunted down. This stems from the fact that they too are weary of who will be out to stand up for them and protect them altogether.

“In Montana, probably the biggest sin is that we’ve started to accommodate the commerce of hunting - the outfitter set-aside and the privileged access to hunting for commercial purposes,” he said. “It’s probably not against the law, but it violates the public trust responsibility that has been such a valuable tool in wildlife restoration.

“It’s a growing problem here. It’s the assumption that commercial users make that their clients are so incompetent that they can’t hunt with the people in common. It comes with public exclusion, and it does not accept the basic principle that we need to share it in common,” Posewitz said.
